Punch Items
A
Punch Item is a task related to an issue on an
Asset. All Punch Items must be fixed before a Project can be finalized.
To add a Punch Item on an Asset:
- On your mobile or in your web account, open the Project and click on Assets.
- Tap on the Asset to open the View screen.
- Tap the + icon then select Punch item.

Punch Items are listed in the
Activity section of Project.
Workflow:

Open: when a Punch Item is first created, it has the status Open and it is Unassigned.

Assign To: the Manager must assign the task to a User in the team. The Assignee receives a notification on his mobile and email.

Complete: when the assigned User has fixed the issue, he/she taps Complete on the Punch Item, and enters a description of the Rectification and can take a photo.
The initiator of the Punch Item receives a notification.
- Close: the Manager checks the rectification of the Punch Item. If successful, he/she can Close the Punch Item. If not, he/she can Re-Open the Punch Item and eventually raise
an NCR.
Punch Item added during Commissioning:
When Commissioning is performed on an Asset, a Punch Item is created automatically when a Supervisor answers 'Not OK' to a Question.

Punch Item fields
Description: text to provide details about the issue reported.
Location: info required to locate the problem.
Priority: defaults to Medium. When set to High, the Punch Item appears in the High Priority list in the global Punch Items section.
Rectification Due date: requested date by which the issue must be fixed.
Assigned To: optionally assign a user in your staff to be responsible for the rectification.
