Catalog Product vs Product added to a Quote/Invoice/P.O.
When you add a Product to a Quote or Invoice or P.O., you can either select an
existing Product from the Catalog or create a
new Product on the fly.
When a new Product is created on the fly, it is
NOT added to the main Product Catalog.
When an
existing Product is selected from the Catalog, the Product that is added is
a COPY of the Catalog Product:
- Editing the Product in the quote or invoice, i.e. to change the Price, Discount, etc.. does NOT modify the original Catalog Product.
- Deleting the product from the quote or invoice, does NOT remove the original Product from the Catalog.
- When viewing the product details from the quote or invoice, tap the info (i) icon to view the original Catalog Product details.
