Commission Handling
Managers can specify Commissions that sales reps receive on completed sales. The Commission module is configured in the Sales web app /
Options menu / Commission tab.
Commissions can be calculated either on
Won Deals or on
Confirmed Quotes.
Commission on Won Deals:
- The Commission is calculated as a % of the Amount of a Won Deal.
- This default calculated % can be overridden in an individual Deal, by editing the Deal and specifying an amount in dollars in the Commission field.
Commission on Confirmed Quotes:
- You can specify a Commission % for each Product in the Catalog. The Commission on a confirmed Quote is calculated as the sum of the commission % for each Product added to the quote.
- This default calculated value can be overridden in an individual Quote, by editing the Quote and specifying an amount in dollars in the Commission field in the Price tab.
In all cases, a
Maximum commission can be specified: if the amount calculated using the commission % is above this max amount, the commission is capped to equal the Max Commission value.
Commissions can apply to all or only some users, which must be explicitly selected in the
Eligible Staff field.
The
Commission Report displays the total commission gained by each user and by month. It is accessible from the left pane menu of the Sales web app when the "Compute Commission on" field is set.
It only displays staff that have been selected in the Eligible Staff option. On the mobile, the Commission Report is accessible from the main screen of Sales for the current user and by month.
There is an option to hide the Commission on the Quote View screen.
