Asset Groups
An Asset group represents a class or type of Assets sharing the same inspection form. Each Asset group MUST have a exactly ONE Inspection form linked to it
Create a new Asset Group
- Click on Assets in the left pane on the web
- Tap the + icon on the toolbar and select Asset Group
- Enter a unique name for the asset group
- Choose an Inspection form
- (Optional): Enter a category. This is used to visually regroup the asset groups, in the case where you have a lot of groups
Notes
- The Asset Group name is used in the View Inspection screen on mobile below the Location field
- You can search or filter any asset on the mobile or web interface using the asset group name
Batch Import Asset Group Excel
- Click on Assets item on the left pane
- Tap the upload icon on the toolbar and select Import Asset Groups
- Tap Select button and choose an Excel file for the correct format (see below)
Asset Group Import Format
Create a new Excel file (.XLSX), on the first sheet, add the following header in each column
Header Name | Description |
id | Upvise internal unique id for the asset group. Must only contain 0 to 9 and A to Z chars. |
name | Name of the asset group. Keep it short |
form | Name of the Inspection Form already defined in Upvise used to inspect all assets for this group |
Change Asset Group Name
- Click on Assets in the left pane on Web
- Click on the Asset Group to rename
- Click on the Edit icon on the toolbar
